    MNU Korean Language Program Application Guidelines

    This guide is for students applying to the Korean language program at Mokpo National University. Please review the eligibility requirements, application procedure, required documents, and tuition information carefully before submitting your application.

    1. Eligibility Requirements

    • A foreigner or overseas Korean who is a high school graduate or has acquired an equivalent level of education
    • A person who has completed a minimum of 10 years of regular school education
    • Those currently enrolled in high school must submit a certificate of expected graduation

    9. Korean Culture Experience Programs

    Two Korean culture experience programs are offered per year (spring and fall semester) at no additional cost - included in tuition fee.

    Sample Cultural Activities

    • Traditional Korean culture experiences (hanbok wearing, traditional crafts)
    • Field trips to local cultural sites and historical landmarks
    • Korean cooking classes and food culture experiences
    • K-pop and Korean entertainment culture activities
    • Local festivals and community events participation
    • Cultural exchange activities with Korean students

    Additional Information

    • The above curriculum is a general framework for Level 1 at Mokpo National University IIEE
    • Actual course content and pace may vary depending on the instructor and specific semester
    • Level placement is determined through evaluation before the start of each semester
    • Classes use an integrated, communication-focused approach with state-of-the-art facilities
    • Korean cultural activities are included twice per year to enhance cultural understanding
    • Small class sizes (maximum 20 students) ensure personalized attention from excellent instructors
    • Detailed syllabi and learning materials will be provided by instructors at the beginning of each semester
    • Students meeting promotion requirements (80% attendance, 60%+ scores) advance to Level 2
