4. Admission & Visa Regulations (Summary)

Level 1 Korean Language Regular Course Curriculum (Beginner)
Level 1 at Kyungsung University's Korean Language Center (KLC) is designed for learners studying Korean for the first time. 5. Assessment & Evaluation
- Attendance: Students are expected to attend more than 80% of class hours to be promoted to Level 2
- Quizzes & Homework: Regular vocabulary and grammar quizzes; daily homework assignments to reinforce learning
- Midterm Evaluation: Written and oral assessment covering Weeks 1-5 content
- Final Evaluation: Comprehensive assessment including written test, speaking test, and listening comprehension
- Class Participation: Active engagement in pair work, group activities, and class discussions
- Placement Test: Students who successfully complete Level 1 will take a placement test before advancing to Level 2
6. Learning Materials
- Level 1 textbook developed by Kyungsung University (approximately ₩63,000)
- Workbook with additional exercises and practice activities
- Audio/video materials for listening practice and pronunciation training
- Supplementary handouts and worksheets provided by instructors
- Access to online learning resources and multimedia materials (when available)
- Cultural activity materials for traditional music, cooking, and Taekwondo experiences
※ The above curriculum is a sample for Level 1 of the Kyungsung University Korean Language Center. Actual weekly topics and classroom activities may be adjusted by the instructor according to student needs and detailed syllabus for each semester.
※ Cultural classes are scheduled once every 10 weeks and may include Samulnori (traditional percussion), Korean cooking, Taekwondo, field trips to Busan attractions, and other activities to enhance cultural understanding.
※ Upon students' request (minimum 10 students), TOPIK Ⅰ preparation classes will be provided without extra fees to help students prepare for the official Test of Proficiency in Korean.
