Communication-Centered Integrated Education
Through communication-centered classes integrating the four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking, students practice Korean expressions that can be immediately applied in real life. Balanced language proficiency is developed through project activities, presentations, and various assignments.
Team Teaching & Korean Culture Classes
Through team teaching where two instructors lead each class, students can experience diverse teaching styles, and through culture classes teaching Korean culture, students can understand language and culture together.
Level-Based Small Class Formation
Through level tests before admission, classes are organized by level from beginner to advanced (Levels 1-6), with small classes of approximately 15 students or fewer per class. If there are fewer than 6 applicants, the class may not be opened.

Completion Requirements
- Attendance: At least 80% of total class days (at least 40 out of 50 days for a 10-week semester)
- Grades: Minimum overall average of 70 points and at least 60 points in each skill (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
Promotion & Completion Notes
- Students must meet both attendance and grade requirements to be promoted to the next level.
- In certain cases (repeated failure, violation of academic regulations, etc.), enrollment for the next semester may be restricted.
- Students who complete at least two semesters of the Intensive Program (Levels 1–6) and finish Level 6 are recognized as graduates of the ELC Intensive Korean Program.
Refund Policy (Intensive Program – Summary)

Level 1 Intensive Korean Course Curriculum (Level 1 · Beginner)
This level focuses on developing basic skills in reading and writing Hangeul and using simple sentences and everyday expressions for basic communication. It is an introductory level for learners who are new to Korean, and classes are conducted with an integrated, communication-based approach across the four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

- The above information is a typical example of the Level 1 curriculum in the Ewha Language Center Intensive Korean Program.
- Actual course content, pace, and assessment may be adjusted according to the semester syllabus and the instructor.
- Class placement is based on the results of online/on-site placement tests.
- Classes are taught using a team-teaching system with an integrated, communication-focused approach to reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Korean culture classes and on-campus/off-campus activities may be included during the semester.
