Arari Village, located along the Joyang River in Jeongseon, is a folk village that recreates the residential culture of the Joseon Dynasty. It features traditional houses such as Gulpi-jip (with oak bark roofs), Jeoreup-jip (hemp stalk thatched roofs), and Neowa-jip (wood shingle roofs), reflecting the wisdom of ancestors in adapting to the harsh mountain climate of Gangwon-do.\r\n\r\nVisitors can also explore Yangbanjeon Street, inspired by Park Ji-won’s satirical novel “The Tale of a Nobleman”, with story scenes brought to life through statues, and even receive a free “Yangban Certificate.”\r\n\r\nThe village includes workshops, shrines, and mills that showcase traditional life, while the nearby Arirang Museum highlights the history of Jeongseon Arirang and other regional Arirang songs across Korea.
