This guide provides information for overseas applicants who wish to enroll in the Korean Language Program at Pukyong National University (PKNU) in Busan, Republic of Korea. 1. Eligibility
- Overseas applicants who have completed high school (or higher) at the time of application.
- Applicants who can submit all required original documents; documents in languages other than Korean or English must be translated into Korean or English and notarized.
- Applicants who are able to obtain an appropriate visa (e.g. D-4 Korean language training visa) and have no disqualifying reasons for staying in Korea.

2. Admission Procedure
- Complete the PKNU Korean Language Program application form and prepare all required documents.

3. Required Documents (Overseas Applicants)
All applicants must submit original documents. Documents must be written in Korean or English. If documents are issued in another language, a Korean or English translation must be attached and notarized. The list below is a standard template; depending on the applicant’s country and visa type, additional documents may be requested by Pukyong National University.

- The language training visa (D-4) for Korean Language Program students is limited in total duration according to Korean immigration regulations. Students must extend their visa before the expiry date each semester.
- Any change in the student’s status (address, school, visa type, etc.) must be reported to the immigration office and Pukyong National University within the required period.
- If the attendance rate falls below the required standard, students may receive warnings or be dismissed from the program, which can lead to visa problems.
