What is presbyopia?

As we age, the elasticity of the lens decreases and the strength of the ciliary muscles that control the thickness of the lens also decreases, which reduces the eye's ability to focus and switch. Discomfort increases primarily when looking at close objects, such as books, cell phones, and monitors.
